Patna: Gold prices in Patna declined on May 15, 2025, amid broader market corrections, even as local jewellers noted sustained buying interest during the peak wedding season. According to updated figures, 22-carat gold is priced at Rs 86,100 per 10 grams, while 24-carat gold stands at Rs 93,930 per 10 grams.
This marks a sharp decline of over 4% compared to May 14, when rates had climbed to Rs 90,077 for 22-carat and Rs 97,776 for 24-carat gold. The dip is linked to a pullback in international prices and a stronger rupee, which made imports cheaper.
Despite the drop, demand from wedding shoppers has remained steady, with jewellers reporting continued footfall and advance bookings. Industry experts advise buyers to track prices closely and insist on hallmarked gold for quality assurance.
