Patna: Gold prices in Patna inched higher on May 16, 2025, following a modest rebound in international markets and currency fluctuations, while local jewellers observed sustained buying interest amid the ongoing wedding season. According to updated figures, 22-carat gold is priced at Rs 87,250 per 10 grams, while 24-carat gold stands at Rs 95,180 per 10 grams.
This marks an increase of over 1% compared to May 15, when rates had dropped to Rs 86,100 for 22-carat and Rs 93,930 for 24-carat gold. The price recovery is attributed to a slight uptick in global gold prices and a stabilising rupee.
Despite the fluctuations, demand from wedding shoppers remains strong, with jewellers reporting consistent footfall and continued advance bookings. Industry experts advise consumers to track daily prices closely and ensure the purchase of hallmarked gold for assured purity.
