New Delhi/Patna: Gold and silver prices rebounded on Thursday after witnessing a sharp correction in June, with both precious metals recording significant gains, according to data released by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA).
The price of 24-carat gold increased by Rs 1,748 to Rs 1,43,380 per 10 grams, while silver rose by Rs 3,863 to Rs 2,25,156 per kilogram.
Recovery After June Decline
The gains come after both metals posted steep declines during June.
According to IBJA data, the price of gold fell by Rs 13,083 per 10 grams between May 31 and June 30, while silver declined by Rs 34,057 per kilogram over the same period.

Gold Up Rs 10,000 This Year
Despite recent fluctuations, gold remains higher than it was at the start of 2026.
On December 31, 2025, 10 grams of gold was priced at Rs 1,33,000. Following Thursday’s increase, it now stands at Rs 1,43,380, representing a rise of around Rs 10,000 this year.
Silver, meanwhile, has edged lower over the same period. It was priced at Rs 2,30,000 per kilogram at the end of 2025 and is currently trading at Rs 2,29,156, a decline of about Rs 1,000.
Earlier this year, both metals touched record highs on January 29, when gold reached Rs 1.76 lakh per 10 grams and silver climbed to Rs 3.86 lakh per kilogram.
