Patna: Police in Bihar have launched an investigation into the alleged gang rape of a minor girl, with the perpetrators accused of filming the assault and threatening to release the video if she reported the crime. The shocking incident, which reportedly occurred in a village within the Nishbandh police station area, came to light after the victim bravely filed a complaint with authorities on Friday.
According to the victim’s statement to the police, the horrific incident took place approximately a month ago, on the night of May 27. She recounted that while she was going out to defecate, two young men from the village suddenly accosted her, covering her mouth and forcibly taking her to a nearby school. There, she alleges, they took turns sexually assaulting her.
During the assault, the two perpetrators reportedly called a third individual, who also joined in the crime. Disturbingly, a “romantic video” was also allegedly made during the incident. The victim stated she fainted during the ordeal and later found herself back in front of her home.
Following the assault, the three individuals are said to have threatened her, warning that they would make the video viral if she dared to report the matter to the police. This threat, coupled with what she described as the “cruelty of the family,” reportedly forced her into silence for a period.
However, recent attempts by the accused to allegedly repeat the crime, along with renewed threats of releasing the video, finally prompted the victim to approach the police.
Avinash Jha, whose role in the initial report is unclear but appears to be a source of information in the original text, stated that a case has been registered by Satya Vishwas Kumar based on information obtained from a mobile device. Further details from the police indicate that their investigation has already uncovered the involvement of four individuals in connivance.
