Murder Accused Sonam Raghuvanshi Flown to Shillong Under Tight Security After Dramatic Arrest in UP.

Patna: Meghalaya Police have taken custody of Sonam Raghuvanshi, the wife of Raja Raghuvanshi, and are escorting her from Patna to Shillong via Guwahati following her arrest in Uttar Pradesh.
Sonam Raghuvanshi was apprehended in Ghazipur and transferred overnight to Patna by road, passing through Buxar. She was held at the Phulwari Sharif police station overnight under tight security. Photographs released on Tuesday morning showed her seated quietly in a corner of the station, dressed in black.
A five-member team from Meghalaya Police, which had travelled to Ghazipur on Monday to secure her custody, obtained a five-day transit remand. Officers were seen offering her food during her stay at the Patna station.
At approximately 11.30am on Tuesday, the police team departed with Sonam for Patna airport. From there, she is scheduled to be flown to Guwahati and subsequently taken to Shillong later the same day. Authorities are also considering a potential transit through Kolkata, depending on flight availability.
The transfer is part of an ongoing investigation into a high-profile murder case in Meghalaya in which Sonam Raghuvanshi is a key suspect in her husband Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder.
