Patna: An FIR has been filed against Bihar cadre IAS officer Sanjeev Hans and former Jhanjharpur MLA Gulab Yadav in a corruption and disproportionate assets case. The Special Vigilance Unit (SVU), which registered the case, has named over a dozen others in the complaint.
The action follows a recommendation from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), after which the SVU sought government approval to proceed against Hans. The FIR was lodged following a high-level meeting chaired by Bihar Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena and DGP Alok Raj, who authorised the investigation based on the ED’s findings.
Hans and Yadav are under scrutiny for their alleged involvement in financial irregularities, though further details of the investigation are yet to emerge.
