Patna: The ICAR–ATARI, Patna, hosted the Rashtriya Karmyogi Janseva Programme on Tuesday, bringing together 54 participants, including scientists, technical staff, and administrators, for a comprehensive capacity-building initiative. Officials from ICAR-RCER and the Regional Maize Research and Seed Production Centre in Begusarai also attended.
The programme, led by Master Trainers Dr Rohan Kumar Raman and Dr Saurabh Kumar of ICAR–RCER, Patna, featured four modules focusing on service orientation, workplace ethics, communication skills, and professional excellence.

In his address, Dr Anjani Kumar, Director of ICAR–ATARI, Patna, underlined the significance of Seva Bhav—the spirit of service—in government work, highlighting the role of both inner and positional power in shaping a committed public servant, or “Karmyogi.” Dr Monobrullah of ICAR–ATARI emphasised the value of recognising “Karmyogi moments” to foster a positive and efficient work culture within organisations.
Feedback from participants suggested a strong impact, with over 80% reporting noticeable improvements in knowledge, attitude, and motivation towards cultivating a collaborative and professional work environment.
The session concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr D.V. Singh, Principal Scientist and programme coordinator at ICAR–ATARI, Patna.
