Bodh Gaya: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya has received accreditation from AACSB International, becoming the sixth among India’s 22 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) to earn the globally recognised distinction.
The accreditation places IIM Bodh Gaya among the top 6% of business schools worldwide accredited by AACSB, an international body that evaluates institutions against global standards in business education.
Accreditation Milestone
Established in 1916, AACSB International is one of the world’s leading business education alliances. Its accreditation is widely regarded as a benchmark of excellence in management education, recognising institutions for high standards in teaching, research, governance, and continuous improvement.
According to the institute, the accreditation process involved extensive quality benchmarking. The process began with a visit by AACSB South Asia Head Prathap Das in August 2025 to assess the institute’s infrastructure and quality systems. It concluded with a Peer Review Team visit in March 2026.
Institute Profile
Located in Bodh Gaya, IIM Bodh Gaya currently has more than 1,700 students enrolled across five long-duration, fully residential academic programmes. These include the Master of Business Administration (MBA), MBA in Digital Business & AI, MBA in Hospital & Healthcare Management, the five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), and the PhD in Management. The institute also offers an Executive MBA programme.
The institute said its academic framework integrates mindfulness into management education with the aim of developing socially responsible, ethically driven, and emotionally mature business leaders.

The institute said AACSB accreditation will strengthen its international presence by supporting research collaborations, dual-degree programmes, and student exchange partnerships with institutions across five continents.
With the accreditation, IIM Bodh Gaya joins a select group of Indian management institutes recognised for meeting globally accepted standards in business education.
