Patna: A special commemorative envelope has been issued by India Post to mark a decade of the Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya, underscoring the institute’s emergence as a key centre of management education in Bihar. The release took place during BODHIPEX-2026, a district-level stamp exhibition organised by the Department of Posts in Gayaji on February 21.
The philatelic tribute highlights the transformation of IIM Bodh Gaya since its inception with an inaugural batch of around 30 students. A decade later, the institute hosts more than 1,600 students from over 280 cities across India, reflecting its growing national profile. Over the years, it has positioned itself as a driver of research-led learning and industry engagement, contributing to Bihar’s evolving academic landscape.

The institute now offers a range of programmes, including MBA, MBA in Digital Business Management, MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management, the Integrated Programme in Management, PhD and Executive MBA courses. Officials say the expansion reflects a broader strategy to cater to learners at different stages of their professional journeys, while maintaining a focus on socially responsible leadership.
Beyond the classroom, IIM Bodh Gaya has expanded its footprint in governance and public administration. Through Management Development Programmes and the Chief Minister’s Fellowship Programme, the institute has trained officers from the Bihar Police Academy and other state departments. It has also hosted international initiatives such as the International Research Conference on Mindfulness, encouraging dialogue on leadership, well-being and management practice.
