  • The ambitious Vishwamitra Path project is set to transform connectivity and development across Bhojpur district and Buxar district 🚧 The 90-km Ganga-side corridor will connect Koilwar to Buxar, linking key economic and cultural hubs while boosting trade, transport, and tourism. With seamless access to Patna via the riverfront road, the project is expected to energize markets like Ara, Bihia, and Shahpur.

Beyond connectivity, the project aims to unlock tourism potential at places like Shivpur Ghat and generate employment across sectors 🌉 Improved infrastructure will also benefit farmers by easing access to major markets such as Varanasi and Gorakhpur. With a new Ganga bridge nearing completion, western Bihar is set for a major economic and infrastructural boost.

  • Farmers in Patna will not be displaced under the proposed Greenfield Satellite Township project, popularly known as the ‘New Pataliputra’ 🌆 The administration has assured that landowners will receive 55% of their original land as fully developed plots within the same area, ensuring no loss of value or connectivity. If required, alternative plots nearby will be allotted with similar road access and infrastructure benefits.

The policy covers 275 villages and focuses on transparency, fair compensation, and safeguarding livelihoods 🌱 Authorities say farmers will remain stakeholders in development, with land rights seamlessly transferred to new plots and compensation decided by an independent valuation process. This model aims to balance urban expansion with the protection of local communities.

He reportedly confessed during interrogation and has been sent to judicial custody.

Investigations revealed a pattern of repeated impersonation, including posing as top अधिकारियों to mislead and pressure officials ⚖️ The case came to light after a complaint was filed, leading to a joint operation by STF and local police. Authorities say he used fake SIM cards and targeted senior officers, with multiple fraud and extortion cases already registered against him.

  • The self-enumeration phase of the upcoming census in Patna has concluded, with over 2.2 lakh households participating in the drive 📊 Despite being the state capital, Patna ranked fourth in Bihar in terms of participation, falling behind districts like Vaishali district and Muzaffarpur district. Authorities had conducted awareness campaigns, but the response remained below expectations.

Starting Saturday, officials will launch the next phase—door-to-door house listing and housing enumeration 🏠 Around 10,000 personnel have been deployed to ensure smooth and timely data collection by May 31. Residents are urged to cooperate and provide accurate information, as the census plays a vital role in shaping government policies and welfare schemes.

  • Bihar finally gets relief from the scorching heat as rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds sweep across multiple districts 🌧️⚡ Temperatures have dropped significantly, with cloudy skies and intermittent showers bringing much-needed comfort to residents. The IMD has issued a yellow alert, warning of thunderstorms, lightning, and winds up to 40 km/h in several parts of the state.

While the changing weather signals active pre-monsoon conditions, it has also caused some disruption—especially for farmers facing crop damage due to strong winds. Authorities advise people to stay cautious during storms as such conditions are likely to continue for the next few days.
