Patna: Indian Institute of Technology Patna and Expedien eSolutions have signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly research, develop and commercialise next-generation indigenous technology products and platforms.
The agreement was signed by T. N. Singh, Director of IIT Patna, and Ashish Dwivedi, Managing Director of Expedien eSolutions. According to the institutions, the collaboration aims to strengthen research-driven innovation and support India’s long-term technology development goals.
Focus on Emerging Technologies
The partnership will focus on research and development in emerging technology areas, including Artificial Intelligence, enterprise platforms, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, blockchain, and networking and communication solutions.
Officials said the collaboration will combine IIT Patna’s academic and research capabilities with Expedien eSolutions’ industry expertise to develop technology products and platforms designed and built in India.

Collaboration Built on Previous Engagements
The partnership was facilitated by Satendra Kumar and Asif Ekbal, who helped conceptualise the collaboration. The institutions said the agreement builds on previous collaborations, mutual trust and institutional synergy.
The signing ceremony was attended by Subrata Hait, Vijay Kumar, Vinod Sharma, Chandresh Singh and other officials from both organisations.

Speaking at the event, T. N. Singh said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing innovation and contributing to the national vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047.
Ashish Dwivedi said the collaboration seeks to translate cutting-edge research into practical technology solutions. He added that India has the capability to build its own technological future through innovation-led partnerships between academia and industry.
