Patna: The Department of Mathematics at IIT Patna inaugurated the International Conference on Advances in Differential Equations, Computational and AI-Driven Approaches, and Pure Mathematics (ICADCA 2025) on Monday, bringing together leading researchers from across India and abroad.
The event began with a ceremonial lamp-lighting attended by Prof. T. N. Singh, Director of IIT Patna; Prof. T. K. Shandilya, former Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Anup Kumar Keshri, A-Dean (R&D), IIT Patna; Dr. Yogesh Mani Tripathi, Head of the Mathematics Department; and Dr. Pratibhamoy Das, convener of the conference.

In his address, Dr. Das outlined the conference’s objectives, emphasising its role in fostering collaboration and sharing research insights. Prof. Singh highlighted the significance of international conferences in advancing academic research and praised the active participation of scholars from diverse institutions.
The three-day conference focuses on cutting-edge developments in applied mathematics, differential equations, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and their rigorous examination through pure mathematics. Delegates attended from top institutions including IISc Bangalore, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, Defence Institute of Advanced Technologies (DIAT), and various NITs and private universities.

ICADCA 2025 features distinguished speakers from India and abroad, such as Prof. Agnid Banerjee of Arizona State University, Prof. S. Sundar of IIT Madras and Director of NIT Mizoram, Prof. A. K. Nandakumaran, Head of Mathematics at IISc Bangalore, Prof. Murthy from DIAT Pune, and Dr. S. Gowrishankar of NIT Patna. The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sushmitha P.
The conference is expected to continue over the coming days, offering workshops and presentations aimed at bridging theoretical research and practical applications in mathematics and AI.
