Patna : Indian Railways has announced the launch of 30 pairs of special trains to facilitate travel to and from Bihar during Holi. These trains, including the semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express, will help manage the increased passenger demand for the festival.
Key Routes and Timings
The New Delhi-Patna Special (02435/02436) will operate daily, except Mondays, from New Delhi at 8.30 pm until March 20, reaching Patna at 8.10 pm the following day. The return service from Patna will depart at 8.30 am (except Tuesdays) until March 21, arriving in New Delhi at 8.10 pm.
The Gondia-Patna Special (08897/08898) is scheduled to depart Gondia at 11.00 am on March 11 and 12, reaching Patna at 11.00 am the next day. The return train will leave Patna at 12.30 pm on March 12 and 13, reaching Gondia at 2.30 pm the following day.
The Udaipur City-Patna Special (09651/09652) will run on March 11, 18, and 25, departing Udaipur City at 11.00 pm and arriving in Patna at 3.30 am on the third day. The return service from Patna will leave at 6.00 am on March 13, 20, and 27, reaching Udaipur City at 12.20 pm the next day.
Another important service, the Udaipur City-Forbisganj Special (09623/09624), will run on March 11 and 18 from Udaipur City at 4.05 pm, arriving in Farbisganj at 5.30 am on the third day. The return journey will depart Farbisganj at 9.00 am on March 13 and 20, reaching Udaipur City at 12.40 pm on the third day.
Special Trains from Delhi and Mumbai
The Anand Vihar-Malda Town Special will leave Anand Vihar at 3.45 pm on March 18, halting at Patna at 1.10 pm the next day before reaching Malda Town at 11.30 pm. Another service, the Delhi-Malda Town Special (03414), will operate on March 16 and 19, departing Delhi at 1.35 pm and reaching Malda at 5.30 pm the following day after a stop at Patna at 5.36 am.
From Mumbai, the Lokmanya Tilak Terminal-Danapur Superfast Special will leave at 12.15 pm on March 10, 15, and 17, reaching Danapur at 5.00 pm the next day. The return service from Danapur will depart at 6.15 pm on March 11, 16, and 18, reaching Mumbai on the third day.
The Danapur-Pune Special (01482) will run on March 12, 16, and 19, departing at 6.45 am and reaching Pune at 5.35 pm on the third day. The Malda Town-Pune Special will depart Malda Town on March 21 at 5.30 am, stopping at Patna at 3.25 am on March 22 before reaching Pune at 11.35 am on March 23. The return service (03426) will leave Pune at 10.00 pm on March 23, stopping in Patna at 6.50 am on March 25, before reaching Malda Town at 4.30 pm.
