Patna: India’s first 5-day long neon art exhibition “Neophoria” was inaugurated at Lalit Kala Academy by “La Pintura” organization in collaboration with the Department of Art, Culture and Youth. Director of Cultural Affairs, Ruby, officially inaugurated the exhibition by lighting a lamp in the presence of renowned artist Kripa Shankar, Founder of La Pintura Ankita, Director Abhishek, and RJ Anjali.
Ruby stated that this is the first time a neon art exhibition is being organized in India, marking an unprecedented initiative. She emphasized the Department of Art, Culture and Youth’s commitment to promoting artistic expression and innovation. The department has been organizing exhibitions of different genres from time to time, recognizing the impact of art on creativity in all aspects of life. The unique concept of neon painting, which will run for five days, is expected to draw art lovers from across Patna.
Renowned artist Kripa Shankar highlighted that art transcends traditional mediums like pen, canvas, and colors, extending its influence to speech, movement, and behavior. He emphasized the role of art in enriching human experiences and shaping social consciousness, underscoring its expansive impact on daily life.
Ankita, Director of La Pintura, shared her views on the exhibition’s potential to inspire the new generation of artists. She commended the department’s support in fostering a collaborative environment for young talent, stating that “Neophoria” offers a fresh perspective on contemporary art. Ankita noted the crucial role young artists play in advancing the future of art. RJ Anjali praised the young team behind the exhibition, noting that all participating artists are under the age of 25. She encouraged the youth to consider art not just as a hobby, but as a potential mainstream career.
The five-day exhibition will be open to the public from 10:30 am to 7 pm, with free entry.
