Patna: India’s leading airline, IndiGo, has announced a special “Summer Gateway Sale”, offering discounted airfares for travellers planning trips in the coming months. The limited-period sale is open until April 17, giving passengers a chance to book tickets at reduced prices across selected domestic and international routes. The airline said customers can get up to 10% off on base fares by using the promo code “SUMR10”, although the offer is available only on certain flights and routes.
The discounted tickets will be valid for travel between July 1 and October 9, a period that typically sees increased travel due to holidays and festive plans. Along with cheaper fares, IndiGo is also offering discounts on additional services to make travel more affordable. Passengers can get a 15% discount on standard seat selection, helping them choose preferred seats at a lower cost. The airline clarified that no 15% discount is being offered on base fares, and travellers should check official sources for accurate details.
In addition, IndiGo is providing major price cuts on convenience services. Its “Fast Forward” service, which includes priority check-in and faster boarding, is available at up to 70% discount on select routes. Passengers who need extra baggage can also benefit, as prepaid excess baggage options—ranging from 15 kg to 30 kg—are being offered at discounts of up to 50%. These offers aim to reduce the overall cost of travel and improve the passenger experience.
Meanwhile, the airline has also announced a new direct flight between Patna and Pune, which will begin operations from May 1. The flight will depart from Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport at 3:40 PM and reach Pune at 6:05 PM. The return flight will leave Pune at 6:40 PM and arrive in Patna at 9:00 PM. This service will run three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The new route is expected to make travel easier for people commuting between Bihar and Maharashtra, especially students, working professionals and business travellers. With both discounted fares and improved connectivity, IndiGo is aiming to attract more passengers during the busy travel season while strengthening its network across key Indian cities.
