Industry Minister Nitish Mishra Inaugurates New Industrial Units In Bihta, Boosting Employment

Patna: Bihar took a step forward in its industrial development as Industry Minister Nitish Mishra inaugurated four new units in the Bihta industrial area on Tuesday. The move is expected to create employment opportunities and boost economic progress in the region.

Among the newly inaugurated units is D Vega Bond, operated by DV Ranjan, with an investment of Rs 3 crore. The project is set to generate around 250 direct and indirect jobs, particularly benefiting local youth. Mishra emphasized that such investments would have a significant impact on Bihar’s industrial landscape.

“Our policies are attracting investors, and many have shown keen interest. With the inauguration of three units and the foundation stone laid for another, Bihar’s industrial future looks promising,” he said.

Boost From Bihar Business Connect

Industry Secretary Bandana Preyashi highlighted that the units inaugurated stem from the MoUs signed during Bihar Business Connect. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to turning investment proposals into reality.

The new industrial units include:

  • Angels Private Limited (owner: Anju Singh) – Rs 2.34 crore investment, creating 53 direct and indirect jobs.
  • Icon Spiral (owner: Anamika) – Rs 5 crore investment, generating 30 indirect employment opportunities.
  • Namaste India NIF Private Limited (owner: Gyanchandni) – Rs 350 crore investment, providing 800 job opportunities.

These units will manufacture backpacks, school bags, uniforms, sportswear, laptop accessories, and dairy products.

Entrepreneurs Returning To Bihar

Several entrepreneurs expressed their motivation to invest in Bihar, aiming to uplift the local workforce.

  • Priyanka Ranjan (DV Ranjan) shared her vision of local production, stating: “Our goal is for children in Bihar to carry school bags made here. We will also adopt 50 children from every village to provide them with our bags for their first day of school.”
  • Anju Singh (Angels Private Limited), who previously worked in Delhi, said: “As a Bihari, I want to contribute to my home state by creating employment for women. We also plan to set up a yarn manufacturing factory in the future.”
  • Anupam (Icon Spiral) emphasized their commitment to local industry, stating: “Both company owners are from Bihar, and we feel responsible for contributing to its growth.”
  • Namaste India’s owner, who is expanding operations under the Namaste Bihar brand, noted that the government facilitated a smooth setup process for their new factory.

With these industrial developments, Bihta is emerging as a key hub for manufacturing, promising new livelihood opportunities and economic transformation for the region.
