Sultanganj: A 57-year-old Kanwar pilgrim died en route to Deoghar’s Baba Baidyanath Dham while carrying Gangajal from Sultanganj.

The deceased, identified as Saket Bihari from Rajapur Chowk, Pachbatta village in Bihar’s Nawada district, was part of a group walking to the holy shrine. He had been residing in Delhi, where he worked as a security guard. He was accompanied by his wife and son on the pilgrimage.

According to family members, He complained of chest pain and dizziness after crossing the Suiya mountain near Tangeshwar. He was first rushed to the Suiya health sub-centre and later transported to Katoria Referral Hospital, where he was declared dead by doctors.
