Patna: Excitement is building among fans ahead of Prabhas’s birthday, as the makers of his upcoming film with director Hanu Raghavapudi dropped a major teaser hinting at a mythological war drama rooted in themes of patriotism and heroism.
Production house Mythri Movie Makers released a cryptic post on social media reading, “Karna, who stands with the Pandavas… #PrabhasHanu title poster tomorrow at 11:07 am.” The message immediately sparked a frenzy online, with fans speculating that Prabhas’s character may be inspired by Karna, one of the most complex heroes from the Mahabharata.
Earlier, the studio had shared another teaser: “A man who redefined the meaning of war is called Prabhas. Decryption begins tomorrow.” It confirmed that the title tease will drop on October 22 at 11:07 am, followed by the official title poster release on October 23.
The yet-untitled film is said to be a mythological and patriotic war drama, blending historical events with epic legends. Early concept posters featuring Sanskrit verses such as “Padmavyuha Vijayi Parthah” — meaning “the conqueror of the Padmavyuha” — hinted at connections to Arjuna’s story from the Mahabharata.
According to reports, Prabhas will portray a soldier leading a lone battalion fighting for freedom and honour during the pre-independence era. The film will explore themes of valour, sacrifice, and destiny, bringing together mythological undertones and nationalistic fervour.
The film, produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, in association with T-Series, features Imanvi Ismail in the lead opposite Prabhas, alongside veteran actors Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, and Jaya Prada in pivotal roles.
Its technical crew includes Sudeep Chatterjee (cinematography), Vishal Chandrashekhar (music), Anil Vilas Jadhav (production design), and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao (editing). While some reports suggest that the film might be titled ‘Fauji’, official confirmation is awaited.
With a massive Rs. 400 crore budget, the project is expected to hit theatres on Independence Day 2026, promising to be one of the most ambitious Indian films blending mythology with patriotism.
