Kerala Defeats Bihar by 121 Runs in Women’s Under-15 ODI Trophy

Patna: Kerala secured a dominant 121-run victory over Bihar in the Women’s Under-15 ODI Trophy match held at the KSCA Navule Stadium in Shimoga, Karnataka. Bihar, chasing a target of 201 runs, was bowled out for 79 in 26 overs. Bihar’s next match is scheduled against Haryana on November 27.
Kerala won the toss and chose to bat, posting a competitive 200 for 5 in 35 overs. Aryananda NS led the charge with a stellar 69 runs, supported by Lexida Jayan, who remained unbeaten on 26, and Reyna Rose VJ, who scored 25 not out. Extras contributed a significant 45 runs to Kerala’s total. Bihar’s Anushka Singh was the standout bowler, claiming 2 wickets for 34 runs, while Chetali Sanjit and Pratibha Sahni took one wicket each.
In response, Bihar struggled against Kerala’s bowling attack. Captain Pratibha Sahni top-scored with 30 off 46 balls, hitting three fours. Priya Raj added 24 runs, and Vice Captain Akshara Gupta contributed 12 runs. However, the rest of the batting lineup failed to deliver, with six players scoring one run or less.
Kerala’s Aritha PV was the star with the ball, taking 5 wickets for just 6 runs. Athena Prasov Daivik and Aryananda NS took one wicket each, while three Bihar players were run out. Kerala’s disciplined bowling and fielding ensured a convincing victory.
Bihar will aim for a stronger performance in their upcoming match, while Kerala’s all-round display has reinforced their position as strong contenders in the tournament.
