Patna: Faizal Khan alias Khan Sir, the popular educator from Patna, has announced plans to open a modern cancer hospital in Bihar, fulfilling a heartfelt request made by a student during this year’s Raksha Bandhan celebrations. Over 10,000 sisters had gathered to tie rakhi to him, and one student’s plea about her father’s expensive pancreatic cancer treatment inspired this significant healthcare initiative.
Khan Sir shared that he will soon embark on a tour across India to consult with top doctors and experts to design and complete the cancer hospital project. He emphasized that such a promise made on Raksha Bandhan—a day symbolizing the bond between brothers and sisters—cannot be refused. Many doctors have already expressed their willingness to support this noble cause.
This announcement follows Khan Sir’s ongoing efforts in the health sector, with plans underway to open dialysis centers and blood banks across Bihar, using advanced machinery imported from Germany and Japan. The goal is to provide affordable and high-quality medical care, especially benefiting the poor, who otherwise have to travel to larger cities for treatment.
During the Raksha Bandhan event held at SK Memorial Hall in Patna, where more than 10,000 girls participated, Khan Sir also arranged a grand feast with 156 types of dishes to honor the sisters.
