Patna: The Railways has announced temporary schedule revisions and route diversions for the Khatipura (Jaipur)–Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express due to ongoing pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking works on the Gonda–Budhwal section under the North Eastern Railway.
The work is part of the construction of a third railway line between Gonda and Gonda Kachehri stations, which has led to regulated operations and altered movement of several trains passing through the corridor.
Train Delays and Revised Timings
According to railway officials, Train No. 19725 Khatipura–Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express will be regulated for 45 minutes en route on July 5 and July 7.
On July 1, the train will depart from Khatipura with a delay of 80 minutes. Its departure schedule has also been revised by 2 hours and 30 minutes on July 7.
Passengers have been advised to factor in the revised timings while planning their travel to avoid inconvenience.
Route Diversion for Darbhanga–Khatipura Service
Train No. 19726 Darbhanga–Khatipura Amrit Bharat Express will operate on a diverted route until July 9. The train will run via the Mankapur–Ayodhya Cantt–Barabanki section instead of its usual alignment.
Railways stated that the diversion is necessary to ensure safe execution of infrastructure work along the affected stretch.
Khatipura–Darbhanga Train Also Diverted
The Amrit Bharat Express departing from Khatipura on July 9 and July 10 will also follow a diverted route. It will operate via the Barabanki–Ayodhya Cantt–Mankapur corridor before reaching Darbhanga.
Officials said the changes are temporary and linked directly to ongoing construction activity on the route.
Passenger Advisory
Railways have urged passengers to check updated train schedules and route information before starting their journey. Authorities added that normal operations will be restored after completion of the construction work.
