Gayaji: Renowned South Indian actor Sudeep Sanjeev, popularly known as Kiccha Sudeep, arrived in Gayaji on Tuesday with his family to perform the Pind Daan, a sacred Hindu ritual to honour and offer peace to one’s ancestors.
The ritual took place at the Karnataka Chhatram on Vishnupad Masan Ghat Road, where pilgrim priest Vinod Acharya conducted the ceremony. Sudeep and his family offered Pind Daan following all traditional rites for the salvation of their forefathers’ souls.
After the rituals, the family visited the famous Vishnupad Temple, a revered shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu, where devotees believe the souls of ancestors attain peace. The temple holds special spiritual significance for pilgrims from across India, especially during the Pitru Paksha period.
Sharing his experience, Sudeep said the visit left a lasting emotional impact.
“I felt a deep sense of spiritual calm after visiting Gayaji. Everyone should take this opportunity to express gratitude to their ancestors,” he said.
