Lakshmi Jha, a resident of Bangaon in Saharsa district, has already triumphed over various high peaks worldwide, including Africa’s Kilimanjaro and Mount Ararat in the Black Peak Mountains. Despite facing significant challenges, her unwavering determination and resilience inspire confidence in her impending success.
Hailing from a humble background, Lakshmi has pursued education up to a Bachelor’s degree, overcoming the absence of a father and financial limitations. Her commitment to this mission stems from a deep-seated belief in her ability to overcome adversity. The ongoing preparations for her Everest expedition have kindled hope and anticipation within the district, with the expectation that her achievement will bring recognition to Bihar and Saharsa on a global scale.

Recently, she achieved the remarkable feat of being the first Indian to ascend Turkey’s Mount Ararat and South Africa’s Kilimanjaro within a remarkable 36 hours. Despite limited resources, Lakshmi exemplifies resilience and is now gearing up to unfurl the tricolor atop Mount Everest in March 2024.
