Lathicharge at Trailer Launch of ‘Pushpa 2’ in Patna as Fans Create Chaos
Patna: The trailer launch of the much-anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule turned chaotic at Gandhi Maidan in Patna today, where nearly one lakh fans gathered to witness the event. The situation escalated when fans threw slippers towards the stage, prompting police to use lathicharge to control the unruly crowd. Many fans had climbed onto 40-meter-high hoardings around the venue, further adding to the chaos.
South superstar Allu Arjun and actress Rashmika Mandanna, who were the main attractions, were greeted by a sea of fans eager to see them in person. The crowd was seen running after the actors as they made their way to the stage. The situation became increasingly difficult to manage, with multiple instances where police had to intervene to restore order.
Before the trailer launch, Allu Arjun performed his signature style from the film at Patna airport on the request of fans, adding to the excitement. Both actors are staying at the Taj Hotel in Patna during their visit.
The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha, who also joined the stage for the trailer launch ceremony. The event featured fireworks to celebrate the occasion, despite the earlier disturbances caused by the overwhelming crowd.
