Patna: Patna’s ISKCON Temple will host the grand Rath Yatra of Lord Shri Jagannath on July 7. The chariot, adorned with flowers, will be the centrepiece of this spectacular event. A unique chariot with a 40-foot hydraulic system will carry Lord Jagannath, adding to the magnificence of the procession. Among the participants will be Russian devotees, joining in the celebration.

The path of the Rath Yatra will be showered with flowers, enhancing the festive atmosphere. Krishna Kripa Das, President of ISKCON Patna, noted that the festival has grown in popularity due to the success of previous years’ celebrations. Attendees are expected from across the country and abroad, not just Bihar.

Preparations for the welcome and Maha Aarti are in full swing. The Lord will be welcomed with aarti and a shower of flowers throughout the procession route. Prasad will be distributed in large quantities to devotees.

The Rath Yatra will commence at the ISKCON temple and proceed to Maurya Lok via Buddha Marg, Tara Mandal, Vidyut Bhawan, High Court, Bihar Museum, Patna Women’s College, Income Tax Golambar, Kotwali, and Dak Bungalow Crossing. The procession will then return to the ISKCON temple via Kotwali. The Rath Yatra is scheduled to take place from 2 to 5 p.m.
