Patna: In anticipation of the consecration of Ramlala in the new temple of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi on Monday at Ayodhya, the Mahavir Mandir Trust in Patna fulfilled its commitment by contributing a total of Rs 10 crore for the construction of the Ram Temple. The Secretary of the Trust, Acharya Kishore Kunal, presented the final installment check of Rs2 crore to the Chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee, Nripendra Mishra, on the eve of the auspicious occasion.
Acharya Kishore Kunal had pledged a contribution of Rs 10 crore towards the Mahavir Temple immediately following the Supreme Court’s decision in favor of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi on November 9, 2019. The first installment of Rs 2 crore was contributed on April 2, 2020, the day the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust’s account was inaugurated. Subsequent installments were made in the years 2021, 2022, and 2023, with the final Rs 2 crore provided as a concluding installment. Mahavir Temple proudly holds the distinction of being the first institution in the country to donate Rs 10 crore as a contribution to the construction of Ramlala’s temple.
In a symbolic gesture, the Amava Ram Mandir Trust presented a gold bow and arrow to Nripendra Mishra, the Chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee. The President of the Amava Ram Mandir Trust, K. Parasaran, along with his grandson Vishnu Parasaran and Secretary Acharya Kishore Kunal, offered a gold-studded bow and arrow to commemorate the historic occasion.
Acharya Kishore Kunal shared details about the intricately crafted bow, known as Kodand, stating that it was fashioned in Chennai. Weighing 2.5 kg, the bow and arrow are adorned with gold on a copper base, symbolizing the reverence for Maryada Purushottam Lord Ram.
