Muzaffarpur: A horrific incident has shaken the district of Muzaffarpur, where a 14-year-old girl was brutally murdered after being gang-raped. The gruesome crime took place on Sunday when a 45-year-old man, Sanjay Rai, along with his associates, barged into the victim’s home and abducted her at gunpoint. The terrified family was helpless as the assailants fled with the young girl.
The following morning, the girl’s lifeless body was discovered near a pond. The extent of the brutality was shocking, with the victim’s breast and throat slit with a sickle. Medical examination revealed further internal injuries caused by a sharp object.
The victim’s family has accused Sanjay Rai of previously pressuring them to marry their daughter to him and threatening them when they refused. Rai is a married man with three adult children and has a history of criminal behavior, including harassment of women.
Local police have registered a case against Rai and unidentified accomplices and launched a manhunt. The accused has absconded from the village with his family.
