Chhapra: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a blistering attack on the Grand Alliance, calling its election manifesto a “rate list of corruption, crime, and jungle raj,” as he sought to rally support for the NDA ahead of the first phase of polling in Bihar.
Addressing a massive crowd in Chhapra, PM Modi declared, “Narendra and Nitish are working to fulfil your dreams. The NDA government will once again be formed in Bihar.” He framed the election as a choice between “good governance and chaos,” accusing the opposition of trying to mislead voters.
“The Grand Alliance has not released a manifesto — it is their rate list,” PM Modi said, alleging that the RJD-Congress alliance represents a return to corruption and lawlessness. He claimed that the opposition’s promises were “nothing but a catalogue of crime.”
Turning his criticism to the Congress and its allies, PM Modi accused them of hypocrisy and hostility toward Biharis. “In Telangana and Karnataka, Congress leaders abuse Biharis. In Tamil Nadu, DMK leaders harass them. And in this election, they have crossed all limits,” he said.
The Prime Minister alleged that the Congress had “invited those who insulted Bihar” to campaign in the state, calling it a “deliberate conspiracy to weaken the RJD.” He added, “This is how serious the internal battle between Congress and RJD has become.”
PM Modi also accused the opposition of being indifferent to religious sentiment, saying, “The RJD and Congress have put all their efforts into protecting infiltrators. They even have a problem with the construction of the Ram Temple. Have you ever seen their leaders visit Ayodhya? They fear angering their vote bank.”
In his speech, PM Modi accused the Congress of siding with leaders who had insulted migrants from Bihar. “In Punjab, the Congress Chief Minister said he would not allow people from Bihar into his state, and a daughter of the Gandhi family was on stage with him,” he claimed, in a sharp rebuke of the opposition’s stance on migration and inclusion.
Paying tribute to the state’s legacy, the Prime Minister bowed to “the sacred land of Mother Ganga, Ambika Bhavani, Baba Harihar Nath, Bharat Ratna Rajendra Prasad, Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan, and Bhikhari Thakur.” Addressing the crowd, he said, “The dreams of Bihar’s youth are my resolve. Narendra and Nitish are working together to turn those dreams into reality.”
