Nalanda University Students Gain Insight into Patna Smart City’s Integrated Command and Control Center
Patna: Management students from Nalanda University embarked on an enlightening educational tour of the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) operated by Patna Smart City Limited. The visit provided students with comprehensive knowledge about the various components of the ICCC and underscored its significance in urban management.
During the tour, students delved into the intricate workings of the ICCC, gaining insights into its role in enhancing city management. They received detailed briefings on the utilization of different components for optimizing urban functionality, including the issuance of challans through surveillance cameras.
Of particular interest was the explanation regarding the emergency call box system, hailed by students for its potential to assist individuals in crisis situations. They emphasized the benefits it could extend to both residents and visitors of Patna, enhancing overall safety and security within the city.
Moreover, students were briefed on the Vehicle Mounted Device (VMD) and its role in public awareness campaigns. Recognizing the transformative potential of these technologies, students highlighted their contributions to streamlining administrative processes and leveraging artificial intelligence for efficient city management.
The educational excursion wasn’t limited to domestic students alone. Alongside their Indian counterparts, students from diverse international backgrounds, including Myanmar, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Indonesia, Bhutan, and Bangladesh, currently enrolled at Nalanda University, participated in the tour.
Under the guidance of Professor Sapna Narula, Dean of Nalanda University, the students embarked on this immersive learning journey to deepen their understanding of urban management practices and technological interventions.
The visit was graced by the presence of key figures from Patna Smart City, including CEO Mohammad Shamshad, CFO Praveen Kumar Singh, and other officials, who facilitated an enriching experience for the students, fostering a dialogue on the intersection of academia and urban governance.
