Patna: A review meeting on schemes being implemented under Namami Gange and AMRUT 2.0 was held at the headquarters of the Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (BUIDCO) on Friday.
The meeting was chaired by BUIDCO Managing Director Animesh Kumar Parashar, with a detailed review of ongoing projects across all 38 districts.
With the monsoon season drawing to a close, Parashar directed officials and contractors to accelerate construction and complete projects according to the prescribed targets.
Work At Monsoon-Affected Sites To Resume
The Managing Director instructed that work should resume immediately at sites where construction had been affected by the monsoon and rising water levels.
He also stressed that faster execution should not come at the expense of construction quality.
Officials were directed to ensure that ongoing schemes are completed within the stipulated timelines while maintaining required quality standards.
Pending Approvals To Be Expedited
The meeting also reviewed pending land-related approvals and project designs.
Officials were instructed to coordinate with district administrations and municipal corporations to ensure the speedy resolution of pending land NOCs. The finalisation of design drawings was also ordered to be expedited.
Contractors were directed to increase manpower and other resources at project sites to accelerate construction.
Road Restoration, Barricading Made Mandatory
The Managing Director also directed contractors to immediately restore roads after excavation work to minimise disruption to residents.
Public convenience was emphasised as a priority during construction. Officials and contractors were instructed to install information boards and barricades at work sites and comply with prescribed safety standards.
District Officials, Contractors Attend Meeting
Officials from the BUIDCO headquarters attended the meeting along with Project Directors and Deputy Project Directors from all districts.
Contractors associated with the Namami Gange and AMRUT 2.0 projects also participated in the review.
