PATNA – In a dazzling showcase of beauty and intelligence, Navada’s own Smrity Bhagat has secured the prestigious title of Miss Bihar 2023. The 20-year-old beauty queen is now gearing up to represent Bihar on the national stage at the upcoming Miss India contest. Smrity’s triumph in the 13th edition of Miss Bihar, held in Patna, has not only brought pride to her hometown but has also outshone contenders from major cities in both North and South Bihar, including Patna, Gaya, and Muzaffarpur.
Coming from an educated family background, Smrity is the daughter of Santosh Bhagat, employed in the judiciary at the Navada District Court, and Sarika Bhagat, the principal of a private school. Her brother, Suyash Bhagat, is currently pursuing a B.Tech degree in Delhi. Originally hailing from Bhagalpur, the Bhagat family has been residing in Navada since Santosh Bhagat’s job transfer in 2000.
Smrity’s victory in the Miss Bihar 2023 competition has added a special glow to the festive spirit in Navada, earning admiration from the district’s residents. The competition, organized by Praveen Sinha, the director of Oceans Entertainment in Patna, featured renowned personalities such as Manya Singh, the runner-up of Femina Miss India 2020, and Bollywood actor Pankaj Kesari. As the newly crowned Miss Bihar, Smrity has been announced as the brand ambassador for esteemed companies like Citykart and Tarak.
Beyond her grace on the stage, Smrity is not just a beauty queen but a woman of substance. Having qualified the prestigious CLAT exam in 2020, she is currently pursuing law studies at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in Delhi. Prior to that, she excelled in her twelfth-grade exams at DAV School in Bhagalpur. Starting her educational journey at Navada’s Vikas Kindergarten, she went on to pass her tenth-grade exams from DPS.
With her intelligence and beauty, Smrity aims to further Bihar’s presence in the beauty world as she sets her sights on the upcoming Miss India contest. Her journey exemplifies a perfect blend of grace, elegance, and academic excellence.
