Patna : Nishant Kumar, the son of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, dismissed growing concerns about his father’s health, asserting that the rumours were entirely unfounded. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Nishant reaffirmed that his father was in excellent health and fully engaged in his role as Chief Minister.
“There is no issue with my father’s health. Any rumours circulating are baseless. He is as active as ever,” Nishant said, responding to ongoing speculation regarding Nitish Kumar’s well-being. “There is no confusion, and he continues to lead with the same vigour as before.”
Amid discussions about the future of the Chief Ministership in Bihar, Nishant made it clear that Nitish Kumar would remain at the helm of the state.
Public Support Echoed from 2010
Nishant also appealed to the people of Bihar to show their support for the NDA government, reminiscent of the overwhelming backing seen in the 2010 elections. He urged voters to lend their full support once again, stressing that his father’s leadership would continue.
The commitment to Nitish Kumar’s leadership has been echoed by key BJP figures, including Amit Shah and Samrat Chaudhary, who also confirmed the Chief Minister’s ongoing tenure.
When asked about his own political aspirations, Nishant remained tight-lipped, offering no comment on the possibility of his entry into politics.
