Madhepura: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made a significant campaign stop in Madhepura on Monday, amplifying efforts to bolster support for the upcoming third phase of Lok Sabha elections. Addressing a public gathering in Alamnagar, Madhepura, Nitish rallied in favor of NDA candidate Dinesh Chandra Yadav vying for the Madhepura Lok Sabha seat.

Reflecting on Bihar’s transformation since assuming office in 2005, Nitish highlighted the strides made in governance and social development during his tenure. He reminisced on the dire state of affairs prevailing 18 years ago, evoking memories of societal unrest and lackluster infrastructure that plagued the region.

“Previously, the evening hours were marred by fear and conflict, hindering community cohesion,” Nitish remarked. “Today, people traverse freely without fear, and communal harmony prevails.”

Expounding on the state’s educational and healthcare reforms, Nitish lauded the expansion of educational opportunities, particularly for girls, citing initiatives such as the dress and cycle schemes. “Education and healthcare were once luxuries,” Nitish stated. “Now, they are accessible to all.”

Addressing minority concerns, Nitish underscored efforts to foster inclusivity and quell communal tensions, citing the cordoning off of over 8000 cemeteries since 2006 as a testament to the government’s commitment to religious harmony.

Dispelling notions of BJP’s alleged animosity towards Muslims, Nitish emphasized the collaborative efforts between his party and BJP in driving Bihar’s progress. “Claims of BJP’s anti-Muslim sentiment are baseless,” Kumar asserted. “Our joint endeavors have yielded tangible results, benefitting all communities.”

Highlighting infrastructure development, Nitish touted achievements in connectivity and sanitation, citing the provision of tap water and electricity as pivotal milestones. He advocated for further investment in education and healthcare infrastructure, particularly in Madhepura, to enhance local opportunities and livelihoods.

As the Lok Sabha elections loom, Nitish urged voters to recognize the government’s track record of inclusive governance and to support candidates aligned with their interests.
