Patna: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar is travelling to Delhi today for a routine health checkup. According to sources, the visit is planned and there is no medical emergency. Kumar has been careful about his health for many years and regularly goes for medical examinations to ensure everything is normal.
Officials said that after reaching Delhi, the chief minister will first go to his residence and then visit AIIMS Delhi for his checkup. Nitish Kumar usually undergoes a full medical examination at AIIMS at least once every year. Doctors there have been monitoring his health for a long time, and these visits are part of his regular health routine.
During his stay in Delhi, there is also a possibility of a political meeting. Nitin Nabin, who was recently appointed as the national working president of the BJP, is currently staying in Delhi. Party sources believe that he may meet Nitish Kumar to seek his blessings after taking charge of his new role. However, no official meeting has been confirmed so far.
Nitish Kumar has visited Delhi for medical reasons several times in the past. On an earlier visit, he underwent cataract surgery at AIIMS Delhi, which was successful, and he returned to Patna after treatment. The chief minister is known for being alert about his health and often opts for routine full-body checkups. Officials have said that this visit is also part of the same regular process.
