Bhojpur: Nitish Kumar is set to visit Bhojpur district from March 20 to 22 as part of his ongoing Samriddhi Yatra. The tour aims to assess the progress of development schemes and ensure that projects are being completed on time. In preparation for the visit, the district administration has stepped up efforts to speed up ongoing works and improve overall arrangements.
Officials said the chief minister’s programme is likely to focus on Ara town and the blocks of Sandesh, Udwantnagar and Bihiya. A public interaction event is being planned at the Majhowa Airport complex in Ara, where he is expected to meet beneficiaries of various government schemes and review development projects. Security, traffic management and cleanliness drives are being handled on priority.
Among the major projects likely to be reviewed is the road widening work in Ara city, which may also be inaugurated during the visit. The proposed Ring Road project, designed to reduce traffic congestion and meet future urban needs, is also expected to be discussed. In Sandesh block, the Koilwar-Sandesh Dam Road project will likely be inspected, as it is considered important for improving regional connectivity and supporting the rural economy.
In Udwantnagar, the chief minister may review the proposed road construction from Zero Mile Golambar to Patar, along with the Zero Mile–Asni and Asni–Wampali roads. These projects aim to strengthen transport facilities and promote local development. With the visit drawing near, departments have been instructed to ensure that quality standards are maintained while completing pending works quickly.
