Patna: JD(U) National President Nitish Kumar made an unannounced visit to the party’s state headquarters in Patna on Monday, where he inspected various sections of the office, attended an ongoing public hearing and issued organisational directions to party leaders.
The visit comes as Kumar has increased his engagement with party activities, making regular appearances both in districts and at the party headquarters.
Reviews Public Hearing
Nitish Kumar arrived at the JD(U) office at around 11 am and first visited the public hearing session being conducted on the premises.
Rural Development and Information & Public Relations Minister Shrawon Kumar was hearing grievances from members of the public when Nitish Kumar arrived. Supporters gathered at the venue and greeted the JD(U) leader with slogans.
According to party sources, Nitish Kumar instructed Shrawon Kumar to continue listening to the concerns of the people before moving on to inspect other parts of the office.
Inspects New Office Facilities
Following the public hearing, Nitish Kumar, accompanied by JD(U) State President Umesh Singh Kushwaha, inspected newly constructed sections within the party office complex.
During the inspection, he visited the rear section of the premises and directed the state president to organise meetings there as well.
“I have said before that meetings should be held in the open,” Nitish Kumar said during the visit, according to party leaders present.
Holds Organisational Discussion
Nitish Kumar later spent some time in his designated chamber at the JD(U) state office, where he held discussions with Umesh Singh Kushwaha on organisational matters.
During the meeting, he reviewed party-related issues and issued further instructions regarding the functioning of the organisation, party sources said.
