No Confusion Over Mahagathbandhan’s Face, Says Tejashwi Yadav After Patna Meet of Opposition

Patna: The Mahagathbandhan on Sunday held a crucial strategy meeting at a resort on Digha-Ashiana Road in Patna, where the alliance signalled unity on its chief ministerial face, indicating Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav as the frontrunner.
In the closed-door discussion that lasted over three and a half hours, Tejashwi made a pointed reference to the NDA leadership, saying the BJP would not allow the current CM to remain in office. “There should be no confusion. The face of Mahagathbandhan will remain the same, but the current NDA CM won’t be there,” he told allies, reinforcing his leadership position.
Senior alliance leaders — including MPs, MLAs, and district presidents of the RJD, Congress, CPI(ML) and other partners — discussed poll preparedness, social coalition strategies, and coordination programs to be rolled out at district, block, and panchayat levels.
RJD MP Manoj Jha, speaking after the meeting, underlined the collective confidence within the INDIA bloc in Bihar. “There is no confusion about leadership in our alliance. Bihar’s people know who the leader is,” Jha said.
The alliance has also decided to constitute a subcommittee of representatives from all parties, which will engage with the Election Commission during the course of the upcoming election cycle.
This was the third formal strategy session of the Mahagathbandhan as it gears up to contest all 243 Assembly seats in Bihar.
