NSS IIT Patna and Bihar Transport Department Host Road Safety Workshop
Patna: NSS IIT Patna, in collaboration with the Bihar Transport Department, organized a Road Safety Workshop to raise awareness about traffic safety and responsible driving. The event was part of the preparations for Seva Utsav 2025, scheduled to take place from March 7 to March 9.
The workshop featured insights from key officials, including Upendra Kumar Pal, District Transport Officer, Patna; Pinku Kumar, Additional DTO, Patna; Mukesh Kumar, Motor Vehicle Inspector, Patna; Amit Kumar, Road Safety Specialist; and Lalan Singh, Deputy SP Traffic, Patna. Their discussions highlighted the importance of adherence to traffic laws and the role of citizens in ensuring safer roads.
The event was attended by Sanjay Kumar, Registrar, IIT Patna; Prof. Udit Satija, President, Gymkhana IIT Patna; Prof. Ranjeet Ranjan Jha, PIC NSS, IIT Patna; Deepak Chaurasia, Security Officer, IIT Patna; Ade Balakrishna, General Secretary NSS; and Rishabh Shivhare, Fest Coordinator, Seva Utsav.
The workshop encouraged students to actively promote road safety awareness in their communities. The initiative was seen as a positive step toward creating a culture of responsible driving and traffic management in the region.
