Pappu Yadav Demands Cancellation of 70th BPSC Exam, Calls for Bihar Bandh on January 1
Patna: Independent MP from Purnia, Pappu Yadav, has called for a statewide shutdown on January 1 if the government does not cancel the 70th BPSC examination. Addressing a press conference at his residence, Yadav accused the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) of corruption and held it responsible for the suicides of two candidates. He demanded a High Court bench investigation into the alleged malpractices in the exam.
Yadav alleged that both Sonu Kumar and Mintesh Yadav, who died by suicide, were victims of corruption in the BPSC system. He claimed the two candidates had accused the Commission of demanding bribes to pass the exam, with police recovering suicide notes mentioning these allegations. Yadav insisted that the entire examination process was compromised and should be annulled.
In his latest tweet, Yadav criticized the Bihar government for its treatment of BPSC candidates, accusing it of using excessive force against peaceful protesters. He called the lathi charge on students intolerable and compared the treatment of candidates to that of criminals. Yadav declared his intention to continue the protest, promising to destroy the roots of the current system and fight for justice.
Raising further concerns, Yadav rejected the validity of the re-examination for 12,000 candidates and alleged that question papers were leaked through coaching centers. He demanded the release of CCTV footage from all examination centers, citing irregularities in the distribution and collection of question papers. Yadav claimed that the normalization process was not followed, creating further injustice for the candidates.
Asserting his determination, Yadav stated that he would not rest until justice is served for the students of Bihar. He vowed to expose the alleged nexus behind the exam malpractices and demanded accountability from the authorities to safeguard the future of the state’s youth.
