PATNA: Today marks the final day of campaigning for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections, with parties in Bihar intensifying their efforts ahead of the voting scheduled for April 26. The campaigning will cease at 6 pm today across the five Lok Sabha constituencies in the state, namely Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Bhagalpur, and Banka.

As per the Election Department, in adherence to the electoral code of conduct, it is mandatory to halt election campaigning 48 hours before the commencement of voting. Consequently, campaigning will conclude at 6 pm today for the assembly seats slated for voting. However, campaigning can continue until 6 pm for those assembly seats where voting will be held until that time.

In areas where the voting duration ends at 4 pm, election campaigning will conclude earlier, with rallies and road shows wrapping up by 4 pm. The voting is set to begin at 7 am on April 26, with the results expected to be announced on June 4.
