Patna: The Regional Passport Office (RPO) in Patna organised a one-day Passport Mobile Vehicle Camp at St Michael’s High School on Tuesday as part of the Ministry of External Affairs’ citizen outreach programme, Passport Seva – Passport at Your Doorstep.
The camp was arranged to provide passport services to students, teachers and applicants from nearby educational institutions and local communities.
The event was jointly inaugurated by Father Christu, principal of St Michael’s High School, and Swadha Rizvi, the regional passport officer in Patna.

Officials said the camp drew enthusiastic participation from applicants, particularly students preparing for higher education and international career opportunities.
Through the mobile passport facility, applicants were able to complete the required procedures on site, including document verification, biometric data collection and submission of passport applications.
Authorities said the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to make passport services more accessible to citizens by bringing the process closer to local communities.

The camp at St Michael’s High School marked the 15th Passport Mobile Vehicle Camp organised by the RPO Patna. According to officials, around 1,800 applicants across Bihar have benefited from similar camps held in various districts.
Speaking at the event, Rizvi thanked the school administration for its support in hosting the programme.
She said such outreach initiatives help improve access to passport services, especially for students and young people seeking opportunities abroad.

Officials also announced that the next Passport Mobile Vehicle Camp will be organised from March 17 to March 19 at Bhagalpur Engineering College in Bhagalpur.
Authorities said the initiative is intended to expand access to passport services while ensuring efficient, transparent and citizen-friendly procedures for applicants.
