Patna: Bus services will soon be launched from Patna and other cities in Bihar to Delhi and cities in Haryana under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode. The Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) has invited applications from vehicle owners to operate buses on the Bihar–Delhi and Bihar–Haryana routes.
According to the Corporation, interested operators can submit their tenders till February 10. Under the proposed arrangement, bus operators will have to share seven percent of their revenue with BSRTC. The operating license for these routes will be valid for five years.
Officials said that buses running on these routes must be equipped with essential safety and passenger facilities, including mobile charging points, fire extinguishers, emergency exits, GPS and VLTD (Vehicle Location Tracking Device). Preference will be given to modern and latest-model buses to ensure comfort and safety for passengers.
The initiative is expected to improve long-distance connectivity from Bihar to the national capital region and boost inter-state travel.
