Patna DM Reviews Women and Child Development Schemes
Patna: Patna District Magistrate Dr Chandrashekhar Singh on Friday reviewed the progress of various schemes related to women and child development operated under the Social Welfare Department.
He directed the District Program Officer (ICDS) to ensure the successful implementation of the Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.
The District Magistrate emphasized the need for regular inspections of Anganwadi centers and directed officials to take action to ensure compliance with guidelines for contract-based employment on vacant posts of Mahila Supervisika.
He stressed that children should receive all government-provided services and facilities regularly and effectively.
Dr Singh instructed that supplementary nutrition, health check-ups, pre-school education, primary health and care, vaccination, and referral services should be provided with high quality and strict adherence to government guidelines. He also directed officials to coordinate with zonal officers to ensure the availability of land for landless Anganwadi centers.
The District Magistrate emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination between ICDS, Health, Revenue, and other relevant departments to ensure efficient and transparent service delivery.
