Patna: Cricket fans in Patna will be able to watch the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final on a giant public screen at Gandhi Maidan, as part of an initiative by Patna Smart City Limited to create a shared viewing experience for residents.
The live broadcast will take place on a mega screen installed near Gate No. 4 of Gandhi Maidan. The screen measures approximately 72 feet by 42 feet, allowing large crowds to watch the match together in the city’s central public space.
Officials said the initiative aims to provide residents with an opportunity to enjoy major sporting events collectively with family and friends.
The screen has previously been used to broadcast several major events in the city. The successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon was shown live on the same screen, drawing significant public interest.
Matches from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 were also screened at the venue, attracting large crowds of cricket fans.
In addition to live sports broadcasts, Patna Smart City Limited regularly organises free film screenings on the screen every Saturday and Sunday.
Authorities have invited residents and cricket enthusiasts across the city to gather at Gandhi Maidan to watch the live telecast of the T20 World Cup final.
