Patna: The Automotive Components Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) is set to launch the first-ever Automotive Aftermarket Expo under the aegis of the ACMA Mobility Foundation (AMF) on Friday and Saturday. The event will take place at the Samrat Ashok International Convention Centre, Gandhi Maidan Road, and aims to unite a diverse range of players in India’s burgeoning automotive aftermarket industry.
The two-day expo will serve as a platform for fostering collaboration, promoting business, and empowering stakeholders in the aftermarket ecosystem. In addition to showcasing cutting-edge automotive components, the event will focus on educating mechanics, dealers, retailers, and wholesalers about the importance of using genuine and high-quality spare parts to ensure vehicular safety and longevity.
Speaking about the event, Vinnie Mehta, Director & Secretary of the ACMA Mobility Foundation, said: “We are happy to bring the ACMA Automotive Aftermarket Expo to Patna. This event reflects the industry’s commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in delivering aftermarket products and services. The expo will feature over 40 exhibitors from across the country, including leading names such as Brakes India, Gabriel India, Lucas Indian Service, Minda Corporation, Tata AutoComp GY Batteries, and Steelbird International. Together, they will display more than 1,000 products, including several new launches, offering visitors an enriching experience. The event is expected to attract over 5,000 business visitors, with dedicated B2B meetings facilitating partnerships and collaborations.
Highlighting the region’s potential, Ramashankar Pandey, Chairman of the Aftermarket Sub-Pillar at ACMA Mobility Foundation, said: “Patna and Eastern India hold immense potential for employment, entrepreneurial growth, and business opportunities. The automotive components industry in India saw a turnover of Rs. 6.14 lakh crore (USD 74.1 billion) in FY 2023-24, with the aftermarket segment contributing Rs. 93,886 crore (USD 11.3 billion). The growing demand for used vehicles and the rise of e-commerce have propelled the aftermarket sector, particularly in rural and semi-urban regions, transforming it into a more organised industry.
Bihar and Jharkhand’s auto components aftermarket represents about 5% of India’s national market. The region boasts a robust ecosystem of 155 automobile dealerships, over 1,000 auto component retailers, and numerous repair workshops. Urban centres like Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, and Muzaffarpur serve as key hubs, while workshops along highways cater to rural and suburban areas.
