Patna: The Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) launched a Volvo bus service between Patna and Jamshedpur on Tuesday, aiming to enhance travel comfort and safety. The service was inaugurated by Transport Minister Sheela Kumari, with senior officials, including Transport Secretary Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, State Transport Commissioner Naveen Kumar, and BSRTC Administrator Atul Kumar Verma, in attendance.
A Comfortable and Safe Journey
Speaking at the launch, Transport Minister Sheela Kumari said the Volvo bus service was introduced to provide passengers with a comfortable, safe, and convenient travel experience. The bus is equipped with air conditioning, GPS tracking, onboard entertainment, mobile charging points, and reclining seats.
Transport Secretary Sanjay Kumar Agarwal emphasized the government’s commitment to improving public transport, stating that the new service would make travel between Bihar and Jharkhand more convenient. “The safety and comfort of passengers remain our top priority,” he said.
The Patna-Jamshedpur Volvo bus service will operate daily, with tickets available both online and offline.
