
Patna: Bihar’s Chief Secretary, Amrit Lal Meena, recently visited the construction site of the Patna Metro’s Priority Corridor. He was joined by Abhay Kumar Singh, Managing Director of Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL), along with other senior officers. The team inspected the ongoing work and checked progress at all four metro stations and the depot.
The Chief Secretary asked the officials to speed up construction and make sure that the work is done with full safety and good quality. He said the Patna Metro is very important for the city’s future, as it will make travel easier for people and help in the city’s growth. He also reminded the team that the project must be finished by August 15, 2025.
The Priority Corridor is 6.20 km long and will connect Malahi Pakri to the Patliputra Bus Terminal. During the visit, senior officers from the Patna district, including the Commissioner, District Magistrate, and Superintendent of Police, also took part. Their presence showed that all departments are working together to make the metro a success.
The Patna Metro is expected to greatly improve public transport in the city. Once completed, it will save time for daily travellers and reduce traffic problems. The government hopes to give the people of Patna a modern and safe metro service very soon.
