Patna Municipal Corporation's Special Cleanliness Initiative: Teams Deployed for Cleaning from 5 am to 12 noon

Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation is gearing up to implement a specialized strategy aimed at enhancing cleanliness across the city. Under this initiative, a team will be deployed for cleaning duties from 5 am to 12 noon, with 75 designated nodal officers entrusted with specific responsibilities, each overseeing a designated ward.

These nodal officers have been assigned various tasks, including monitoring drainage systems and ensuring the maintenance of manholes throughout the city. A concerted effort is underway to address any issues related to manhole covers, with plans for the installation of new covers where necessary, and the inspection of existing ones.

Additionally, the nodal officers are tasked with the responsibility of maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the city. Despite previous efforts by the Patna Municipal Corporation, a recent survey has highlighted the resurgence of waste accumulation in certain areas. In response, the corporation has pledged to take stringent measures to restore the city’s cleanliness standards.

Furthermore, Patna Municipal Corporation is set to issue demand notices, complete with QR codes, to holders of outstanding holding tax payments. The corporation aims to send notices to approximately 2 lakh defaulters initially, with plans to distribute them to households through Ward Inspectors and Supervisors. The process of preparing these notices will commence on May 1, with printing scheduled to be completed by May 5. From May 6 onwards, demand notices featuring QR codes will be dispatched to defaulters, offering a convenient avenue for payment from the comfort of their homes.
