Patna Planetarium Introduces Virtual Reality Show with Martian Experience

New Planetarium Shows 'Voyager' and 'Life of Tree' to Debut

Patna: The Patna Planetarium has launched an innovative virtual reality (VR) show offering audiences an immersive tour of Mars. Starting from Tuesday, the show provides viewers with a lifelike experience of Martian landscapes, including mountains and rocks, making them feel as if they are actually present on the red planet. This captivating experience runs daily from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm.

The planetarium has procured two sets of advanced VR machines from Kolkata for this special show. Due to the immersive nature of the experience, only two viewers can participate at a time. Each session lasts for five minutes, with tickets priced at Rs 20 per person. Booking for the show is facilitated through digital payment methods, including QR code scanning, and is available on a first-come, first-served basis as there is no provision for advance booking.

The Patna Planetarium, which opened to the public on April 10, boasts a seating capacity of 200. It offers eight shows daily, featuring both 2D and 3D formats. Tickets for these shows can be purchased both online and offline, with visitors having the option to select their preferred seats.
