Patna: The admission season for the 2026–27 academic session has formally begun in Patna, with several prominent private schools announcing timelines, eligibility criteria and application fees for nursery, LKG and Class One.
At St Michael’s High School, nursery admission forms will be released on December 26 and remain available online until December 31 through the school’s website. The application fee is Rs 1,000. A total of 240 nursery seats are available, with eligibility restricted to children aged between three and four years as of March 31, 2026. Admissions for LKG and Class One will follow later, with forms for LKG expected in the second week of January and for Class One in February. The school has earmarked 120 seats for LKG and 90 for Class One.
Carmel High School has already released its LKG admission forms, available online at its official website. The application fee is Rs 1,000.
At Notre Dame Academy, nursery admission forms will be accessible online from January 3 to January 4, with a fee of Rs 1,000.
St Xavier’s High School began issuing LKG admission forms on December 15. Applications will remain open online until December 31, with a form fee of Rs 900. Children must be between four and five years of age as of March 31, 2026. Admit cards for the interaction will be issued on January 9, while interactions are scheduled for January 16 and January 18. The school has made it mandatory for both parents to accompany the child on the day of interaction.
At Mary Ward Kindergarten School, admissions for the coming session will be limited to nursery only. Application forms will be available exclusively at the school counter on January 10, between 8 am and 12 pm, at a cost of Rs 1,000. Eligible children must be between three and four years of age as of April 2026, and completed forms must be submitted the same day.
Loyola School has made admission forms for nursery and LKG available online through its Montessori and senior school websites. For nursery admission, children must be between three and four years old as of March 31, 2026, while LKG applicants must be between four and five years. The application fee for both categories is Rs 1,000.
Meanwhile, DAV Public School, BSEB Colony, has announced that forms for Nursery, LKG and UKG will be released on January 15.
With most schools relying on online applications and clearly defined age criteria, parents are being urged to track deadlines closely, as competition for early education seats in Patna’s leading private schools continues to intensify.
